One Night in Narita

After waking up from my "fifteen minute" (read: two hour) nap at my hotel, I ventured off in search of a meal -- not too difficult, since the hotel has 4 different restaurants. I decided to go outside to take in the Narita nightlife when I caught the familiar scent of barbequed meat; so, like a good southerner, I followed the smell! I found myself in what I liken to a Hawaiian luau, complete with music, festivities, and my favorite part, an all-you-can-eat buffet. This was the scene outside:

The all-too-multifaceted controller for the bidet at the Tokyo airport. LOL

Skipping over the details, I helped myself to the spread and started grilling my own meat. The manager approached me and directed me to the cashier to pay (it was out of the way in a corner, and I had thought the food was free for hotel guests. Whoops!). The "special rate" for hotel guests was ¥4400 -- about USD$56. Yikes! I had read that the hotel offered great rates but had expensive food, and absent other options, I went for it. And then I got a reeefillll (*cues Elle Varner song*).
