It's the weekend before Halloween, and the air is abuzz with Korean people talking about their costumes and such.
Actually, I'm kidding. Halloween is definitely not a big deal here like it can be in the States. The only reason it gets any notice at all is because foreign teachers like me bring it up with their students. At any rate, a massive group of people is heading to Seoul tomorrow for a Halloween Cruise, which should be fun. I'll finally be able to see some of my friends who live far away from Daegu -- a few of them I haven't seen since EPIK Orientation in August!
I'm also excited because I get to spend some time with my friend Jackie from college. It's gonna be a jam packed weekend, so hopefully I won't pass out on Monday when I get back to work!
We -- and by we, I mean nearly everyone from Daegu who's going on the cruise -- are staying at Kimchi Hostel in Hongdae, Seoul. (www.kimchihostel.com) It looks like a really nice place, so hopefully our experience there matches up with the reviews! At any rate, I'd better go put the finishing touches on my costume, which is to be revealed very soon...
...in an upcoming blog post!
Deuces!
